What is it all about?

There are no less than 7 locations on level5 where we can try to do this:

From the world of artist Felice Varini (see http://www.varini.org/05vid/vid01.html) his site is kind of loopy and hard to navigate, but you should get the idea.

For further inspiration Luca mentioned Shigeo Fukuda, look him up to be totally freaked out by his fork and spoon motorcyle and more :)

So let's get something happening!
Liam has secured a load of vinyl lettering and signage/billboard offcuts, which should provide us with some awesome material to work with.

I'm hoping people join in here, posting images that they think can be reworked to be used as iconic elements. My own thinking is maybe to use classic design icons, but that doesn't only mean chairs :) It could include tools, equipment, utensils, human elements as well. Of course chairs are kind of the design thing though.

Let's see what happens...

Here are some ideas so far.

Warhol! Particularly, this type of graphic style should work well...
I suppose it is pretty much the stencil thing, before stencils were Stencils.

Some design icons - Carl suggested A Wheel, let's see a sample image! Until then...

So... those are ID objects, are they? I also wondered about 50s scifi toys, but maybe that is just something I have to seek therapy for in my own time.

also very cool, are lego men...

and actual icon icons -
